Our documentary was completed at the end of March 2020. As time goes on, events keep unfolding and we will use this page to update information on what’s going on in Latino Wisconsin.   

On December 5, 2021 Latino Wisconsin was awarded a Chicago/Midwest Emmy for outstanding achievement in Documentaries - Topical.  We are honored to have our film recognized by the Academy, and wish to thank our funders - the Wisconsin Humanities Council, Bader Philanthropies, and Milwaukee Film’s Brico Forward Fund. 

We especially want to thank the many individuals and organizations whose stories made this film possible, and to recognize all the Latino men and women who over the decades have contributed to the development of their communities. Here’s to the future of the growing and important community of Latino Wisconsin.
